JobSearch provides a free service to both job seekers and employers. Our aim is to assist all Australian job seekers find employment. We do this by providing a national database of vacancies and by providing links to other government employment-related services.

Navigation

Left hand navigation menu

The primary navigation tool is the left hand menu, which is displayed on each page. It consists of major headings with sub headings appearing once a major heading has been selected. Selecting a heading by clicking on it will take you to that page.

Top navigation bar

The grey bar at the top of the page contains links to global information about the website, including tools for viewing the site in different modes and help documents. There is also a site search field in which you can enter a word and search the website for corresponding information.

Footer

The bottom of the screen displays a footer which provides links to global utilities.

Breadcrumb bar

Found directly below the top navigation, this tool displays the name of the page you are viewing and the path you took to get there. An example may look like:
JobSearch >> Job seeker >> Parents.

Pages that you have previously visited display as links and provide a quick method of navigating back.

Website tools

To use the options available for changing font size and screen contrast go to the link in the top navigation bar.
You can also use the Skip to content and Skip to navigation buttons located at the top right hand corner of each screen to reconfigure the information on JobSearch.

Job seekers - find a job

JobSearch provides you with a variety of ways to search for jobs - any job anywhere in Australia. You can start from the homepage or from the Find a job page. For further information about how to use the search functions go to Find a job help.

Employers - advertise a job
